¿Por qué razón “separado” se escribe todo junto y “todo junto” se escribe separado?

It’s Spanish it’s weird to understand but true separado es all together and todo junto is separado

"todo junto" are two seperate words and "separado" is it's own word. Hope that made sense, hope this helped!
