The is answer is Counter-Reformation.

The Counter-Reformation, this same period is also known as the Catholic Reformation or the Catholic Revival saw the Church's response to the Reformation which included reflection on its own spiritualism, as well as redefining the Church's influence and status in a post-Reformation world. The main goals of the Counter-Reformation were to clarify doctrine, processes, and theology and deal with issues stemming from Luther, Calvin, and other Reformation leaders.

In the Supreme Court ruling in this case, how did it impact other state laws
blsea [12.9K]

Answer: When a neighboring state changes a law, those that are violating it will either cease or move. In this case, a same sex couple will most likely move to a neighboring state (unless they want to try to put up a fight with the officials). Then that state may be influenced and copy that law banning same sex marriage. The more this happens, states that don`t ban it will be "safe-states" for those couples. This process may continue and affect even more neighboring states. In fact, it can happen with any law. I`m not all that smart on this subject, and I would paste the link here, but Brainly won`t let me. Hope this helped, if not comment if you have questions

As the Civil War began, the South’s strategy was to
ruslelena [56]
Defend until the North gave up--essentially the South believed they had more conviction than the North and that would win out.

The South had an idea to fight for and believed they could survive on their own. The South relied on their ports and did not have as many supplies as the North but they had something to fight for. The North lacked morale and a mission. It was also believed by some that the South had the right to leave and the North had no right to stop them through military action.
