Simon bolivar lived a short but comprehensive life. History records his extraordinary versatility. He was a revolutionary who freed six contries, an intellectual who argued the problems of national liberation, a general who fought a war of unremitting violence. He inspired extremes of devotion and detestation. Many Spanish Americans wanted him to be their dictator, their king; but some denounced him as a traitor, and others tried to assassinate him.Subsequent generations completed the apotheosis, and continued the controversy.

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Simon Bolivar is a national hero in Venezuela and an important figure in other Latin American countries for his contribution to the independence of those countries.

In his continuous fighting for liberty, he faced some obstacles. The first one, the great Spanish Army that had more experience and better weapons. Secondly, if you see a map of that region of South America, you will realize the difficult conditions of the land to transport people and supplies. The Andes is the most important mountain chain in South America and is a geographical barrier to some countries like Venezuela.

Simon Bolívar (1783-1830) was the liberator of what today is Colombia, Ecuador, and Panama.

Confucianism, Buddhism
would be my best guess... but out of the answers you listed they probably want Daoism and Confucianism.

Since Shinto is Japanese and Hinduism is Indian... those two are completely out of the question.
_____
Daoism isn't really a government influence... it embraces the philosophy of yin and yang. Good and Bad, without one the other cannot exist. Natural influences of a good and bad government doesn't really make a good governing philosophy. Confucianism was really based on good and virtuous, people live life in harmony and proprietary. He's missing the rules and laws of the Legalist system of government. Where it assumes all people are bad and without laws and rules everything would be in chaos. The First Emperor established the Legalist system in China, he was said to have buried alive hundreds of Confucian scholars and burned Confucian books... His reign was short lived, only 14 years. The next dynasty... the Han, governed with a combination of Legalist and Confucian type of government, lasted 426 years. This pretty much continued till the Tang dynasty when Buddhism a larger influence in society.

If Lincoln had not been assassinated do you think he would have pushed for equal civil and political rights for black people?Exp
ehidna [41]

There is always the possibility that he would have, yet there are reasons as to why he would not have been to enthusiastic in supporting it too strongly. One of these reasons is that Lincoln supported joining the South and the North as fast as possible to make the Reconstruction after the Civil War more smooth and faster. If he openly supported the rights of the Black people the South would not have supported him as much as they would if he had not done so. This would go against what Lincoln wanted the United States to do to heal, somethign that Lincoln's vice president also shared with him.
