The gallup poll interviews 1600 people. of these, 18% say that they jog regularly. the news report adds: "the poll had a margin

of error of plus or minus three percentage points." you can safely conclude that
a. 95% of all gallup poll samples like this one give answers within ±3% of the true population value.
b. the percent of the population who jog is certain to be between 15% and 21%.
c. 95% of the population jog between 15% and 21% of the time.
d. we can be 3% confident that the sample result is true.
e. if gallup took many samples, 95% of them would find that exactly 18% of the people in the sample jog.

The correct is b.

This is because, confidence interval is given by:
Confidence interval = p +/- error
In this case,
p = 18%
error = 3%

Therefore;
Confidence interval = 18+/-3 = [(18-3),(18+3)] = [15,21].
Therefore it will be true to say that the percentage of those who jog is between 15% and 21%.

Find the coordinates of the midpoint of CM with endpoints C(1, -6) and M(7,5).
Vilka [71]

Answer: The coordinates of the midpoint of CM with endpoints C(1, -6) and M(7,5) are (4,-\dfrac{1}{2}).

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that the coordinates of the midpoint(x,y) of line joining A(a,b) and B(c,d) is given by :-

(x,y)=(\dfrac{a+c}{2},\dfrac{b+d}{2})  .....(i)

Given : The coordinates of endpoints of CM are C(1, -6) and M(7,5)

Then , by using (i) , the coordinates of the midpoint of CM would be :-

(\dfrac{1+7}{2},\dfrac{-6+5}{2})\\\\=(\dfrac{8}{2},\dfrac{-1}{2})\\\\=(4,-\dfrac{1}{2})

Hence,  the coordinates of the midpoint of CM with endpoints C(1, -6) and M(7,5) are (4,-\dfrac{1}{2}).

Find the value of n if (81)^5/n = 243
zavuch27 [327]

Answer:

N = 14348907

Step-by-step explanation:

81^5 = 3486784401

3486784401/243 = 14348907

Double Check

3486784401 / 14348907=243

So N = 14348907.

What are these as equalivalent equations
tatiyna

Answer:

6x - 2(x - 3) and x + 3(x - 2) - 6

The two expresaions that are quivalent are <u>6x - 2(x - 3)</u> and <u>x + 3(x - 2) - 6</u>.

Step-by-step explanation:

First expression which is 4(x - 3) is an example of a binomial that when multiplied together, the product would be 4x - 12. Therefore, second and third expressions are the answer.
