10. Read the sentence from paragraph 15 of Lyddie below.

English
1 answer:
Fed [463]3 years ago
3 0

Answer: B. She realizes her life has changed significantly.

Explanation:

Lyddie is a very determined person and she can see how much her life changes day by day. Therefore, even if yesterday is just one day ago in the past, it feels like "years in the past", because she changed so much.

People can change in an instant and even though just one day passes, the effect of certain moments can be huge on someone's destiny. "Yesterday seemed years in the past" is a metaphorical way for the author to highlight the changes the character has gone through.

Readers of Beowulf will likely view Grendel as a villain. Readers of Grendel, however, will likely view the character as more __
ValentinkaMS [17]

The correct answer is sympathetic.

If you read Beowulf, you will see that Grendel is a vicious monster who doesn't care about humanity at all - people are there just for him to eat. On the other hand, if you read Grendel, you will see what happened from his point of view - that he is not just a brainless beast, and that he has thoughts and feelings.
