GalinKa [24]

Answer:

The condition of the room and its contents cause Mr. Utterson and Inspector Newcomen to plan a trip to the bank in hopes of catching Mr. Hyde.

Explanation:

The excerpt in the question came from the fourth chapter titled the Carew Murder Case. We can see in this chapter that inspector Newcomen and Mr. Utterson had been questioning Mr. Hyde's actions since they had seen him behave suspicious lately. The investigators visited Mr. Hyde's room during the investigation and pointed out that his house was in a mess. The inspectors then decided that Mr. Hyde may not know what happened in his house so they went straight to the bank to investigate further. They learned on their arrival at the bank that his account was loaded with millions of pounds. The scene strengthens the story because it finally shows enough evidence for the prosecutor and the officer to continue investigating Hyde and trying to prove his guilt.

Why did the students choose lunch counters for their initial protests? Summarize their viewpoint in at least 3 complete sentence

The last person to approach the Greensboro Four on that first day was an ... up support to continue and expand their demonstration and as word spread it started to swell.

Explanation:

In the late afternoon of Monday, February 1, 1960, four young black men entered the F. W. Woolworth store in Greensboro, North Carolina. The weather had been warm recently but had dropped back into the mid-50s, and the four North Carolina A&T students were comfortable in their coats and ties in the cool brisk air as they stepped across the threshold of the department store. Like many times before, Joseph McNeil, Franklin McCain, David Richmond and Jibreel Khazan browsed the store’s offerings and stepped to the cashier to buy the everyday things they needed—toothpaste, a notebook, a hairbrush. Five and dime stores like Woolworth's had just about everything and everyone shopped there, so in many ways this trip was not unique. They stuffed the receipts into their jacket pockets, and with racing hearts turned to their purpose.

What do movie people do to create a setting? What tools do they have? Are those tools available to authors?
Gelneren [198K]

Movie people are able to write up how they want a scene to look like, then they can use things like backgrounds and crops to make a visual representation of how they want their scene to look like. Authors don't have things like props and backgrounds, so they have to put a lot of detail into their writing for readers to visualize.
