2. The excerpt containing an allusion is D. 1.-A counterclaim must be "True it was, that such atempts were not to be made and undertaken without good ground & reason; not rashly or lightly as many have done for curiositie or hope of gaine"   British could counterclaim the attempts to start a new colony in this way.

2.- The last one is an allusion since the passage alludes to Seneca and that he was affected with sailing.
