The artist's self-portrait is located in the mirror's reflection in The Arnolfini Portrait.
This painting was painted by the Flemish artist Jan van Eyck in 1434. The painting depicts Giovanni di Nicolao Arnolfini, an Italian merchant, and his wife, and if you look closer at the mirror, you will see the artist as well.

1 A.D. Hellenistic period, ca. 323–31 B.C. Roman rule, Greek mainland, 146 B.C.–330 A.D.In around 450 B.C., the Athenian general Pericles tried to consolidate his power by using public money, the dues paid to Athens by its allies in the Delian League coalition, to support the city-state’s artists and thinkers. Most of all, Pericles paid artisans to build temples and other public buildings in the city of Athens. He reasoned that this way he could win the support of the Athenian people by doling out plenty of construction jobs while building public monuments so grand that people would come from far and wide to see them, increasing Athens’ prestige as well as his own.

A geometry student wants to draw a rectangle inscribed in a semicircle of radius of 8. If one side must be on the semicircle's d
SOVA2 [1]
For the answer to the question above, let's start with the whole circle.
Let's assume that the maximum possible area of a rectangle inscribed in a complete circle is achieved when the rectangle is a square.

D= Circle's Diameter = 16
square's area = (D^2) / 2 = 256/2 =128
Imagine we want to break the circle into two semicircles, the square would be divided into two rectangles which would have the maximum possible area.
rectangle's area = square's area / 2 = 128/2 = 64
