The following are the benefits of biotechnology:

1. Improving the quality of crops: This biotechnology involves the process of genetic engineering by the which pests resistant and drought resistant genes can be injected into the genome of the plants. Thus making plants and crops healthy and disease free.

2. Development of vaccines for preventing the diseases: The process of genetic engineering will involve the extraction of the pathogenic genome which can be competent to fight against the pathogen present in the body of the host organism creating disease symptoms.

3. Utilization of the microbial materials for increasing the industrial production: Some of microbes such as bacteria are useful in synthesis of food products like beverages, milk products. Hence, their synthesis have been enormously increased with biotechnology that is by facilitating the cell culture.
