It's certainly sensory. And it's figurative too. I think I'd pick figurative because the central piece of language is a simile. That's pretty good use of language when you compare the bobbing heads of flowers to helmeted soldiers.

Answer:

B) Repetition

Explanation:

Repetition is a rhetorical device that repeats the same words and/or phrases or even full sentences in order to make a stronger impression and put an accent to what a writer considers to be the most important idea in the text. Its use is common in both prose and poetry.

What is the connection between Anne Frank and Asiieh and Sydney in paragraph 9? Cite evidence from the text in your answer.
Colt1911 [192]

Answer: Both Sydney and Asiieh live in bad living areas and are having a rough time in their life.

Explanation:

The South Side of Chicago is known for their high rate of crime. Asiieh worries about her family and if she will ever leave the area she was born in and have a better life.

Hazara is living in an immigrant camp with bad conditions, cramped living quarters, and sees violence on a daily basis. She wants to be able to leave and have a better life also.

The text that Anne wrote that is similar to these other girls issues is: "I simply can't build up my hopes on a foundation consisting of confusion, misery, and death."
