Read the original and the paraphrased version of the given text. Identify the reasons why this is a bad paraphrase:
slega [8]

Answer:

Original words are used

Quote is not changed to reported speech

Explanation:

 • The paraphrased version and original version are very similiar because we can see that there are original words used in the paraphrased version so there are barely differences between them. That is why it is a bad paraphrase.

In paraphrased versions, there should be no usage of original words because those original words and sentences should be described in a paraphrased version.

 • Another thing that is making this paraphrased version bad is quoting. Quotes are not changed to reported speech. It should be: He says ''My horse is my best friend.''

-There are no further details in the paraphrased version so the third option is not correct and also we can see that the paraphrased text is not longer than the original, so that is an incorrect option too.

Read the excerpt from Chapter 4.
salantis [7]

Answer:

Marilla grows anxious.

Explanation:

Here in the story: "Thereupon Anne held her tongue so obediently and thoroughly that her continued silence made Marilla rather nervous, as if in the presence of something not exactly natural.", shows that Marilla grows nervous when Anne didn't talk.
