Jazz improvisation means a process where fresh melodies are created spontaneously over the continuously repeating cycle of chords changes in a sound.

The three kinds of improvisation are; Melodic, Harmonic and Motivic.

Explanation:

Explanation:

Jazz improvisation spontaneously invents melodic solos. Improvisation employs chords and tones harmonically to inspire new solos. Jazz improvisation includes the following experts, Miles Davis, Bill Evans, John Coltrane and Charlie Parker.

Melodic Improvisation occur at the beginning of improvisation. Musicians, by adding notes to a melody create a new version of the tune.

Harmonic Improvisation is when the soloist plays as the chord changes. Within the chords, Novice soloists play scales and arpeggios.

Motivic Improvisation is mostly used by experienced musicians. Under this, the musician basically follows the pattern of the chord changes but will modify it by adding motifs to make new variations.

Jazz improvisation allows for a maximum amount of freedom.

D. Since the father likes taking risks in a game, he might like taking risks in life as well.

This is the best choice. Process of elimination helps when answering this question. From this excerpt, we don't have any clues that the father is possessed or says insane things. We also cannot infer that the woman knitting indicates that the character don't have good clothes to wear. During this time period many women would knit in the evening. We also can't infer that the son is not old enough to play chess. There is nothing to indicate the age of the son or that he doesn't know the rules.
