How and why does the epidermis produce new skin cells?
ArbitrLikvidat [17]

Answer:

About 95 percent of the skin cells in the epidermis are devoted to creating new skin cells in the lower two levels of the epidermis, which then cycle to the top layer to help form the stratum corneum. Eventually the dead cells of the stratum corneum flake off as new keratinocytes move up, and the cycle repeats itself.

Hope this answer is right!!

Why is it important that living organisms not reach equilibrium in the concentrations of oxygen and carbon dioxide?
Mashcka [7]

Answer:

The living organisms must not reach equilibrium in the concentration of oxygen and carbon dioxide so that the Exchange of gases continues . Otherwise respiration and photosynthesis will stop.

Explanation:

  • Gases move along the concentration gradient i.e. from their higher concentration to lower concetration.
  • If living  organisms reach a equilibrium of carbon dioxide and oxygen concentration, then The gases will not move in and out of the cells.
  • This is because at state of equilibrium the concentration of gases on both side become equal and the movement completely ceases.
  • If gaseous exchange in the body stops the process of respiration and photosynthesis in Plants and respiration in animal will completely stop.

Which statements indicate what the fossil record suggests about evolution on Earth? Check all that apply.
choli [55]

Hi There!

Question:

Which statements indicate what the fossil record suggests about evolution on Earth? Check all that apply.

Answer:

Organisms originally lived only in Earth’s water.

Plants did not have flowers when dinosaurs existed.

Why:

Plants existed when dinosaurs did but they didn't have any flowers, because flowers came along way after plants existed. When earth was form you see that it says earliest waters so that would have meant the first organism brought to earth were organisms that lived in the water.

Hope This Helps :)
