Answer In regards to social relationships within a species being able to recognize happiness and anger can create conhesion within a group and avoid conflict and this can be seen in primates. As far as far interspecies relationships if an animal were to enter the territory of another animal and it displays aggression regcognizing that allows the intruder to be alerted to danger and leave the territory.
