I'm thinking Huck Finn, and Of Mice and Men are similar, just by the dialogue, if not by the mannerisms of some of the characters.

because a simple subject is the verb that is done in a sentence. it can also be the action that happens, Hint: a verb phrase is considered one idea; therefore it can still be a simple predicate
I believe A would be the best answer. In the question, it states that Shawn has trouble understanding the ideas. So, rephrasing the ideas in his own words would help. I hope this helped u!
