Answer:

The sun rises and sets because of it's rotation on it's axis.

Explanation:

The sun makes a complete rotation after 24 hrs, as the earth rotates the sun moves past that part of the Earth not lighting it up anymore causing night time. So as the Earth moves towards the east the sun sets in the west causing it move out of our line of site

Discuss the different phases of the Disaster Risk Governance cycle and relate these to hazards, vulnerabilities, disasters, and
posledela

Answer:

As Discussed below.

Explanation:

  • There are four phases in the disaster risk management like Mitigation and prevention and preparedness in pre-disaster stages. Response and recovery rehabilitation and reconstruction in the post-disaster stage.
  • A hazard may be characterized by many names like floods, landslides, and earthquakes, etc, they cause harm to vulnerable targets. The term hazard and risk are often associated with each other.
  • While the concept of vulnerability is related to the weakness or the things that are prone to attacks like the property or any area. As natural hazards are defined by the extremities in the physical environment there are man-made hazards like the biohazards that posses a serious risk to others and in turn, become a disastrous event.
  • Thus the more vulnerable a property is to disaster the more the chance of rick it posses and the more ca of it becoming a disaster shortly.

If a rock is metamorphosed but does not contain foliation or lineation, what has probably happened to the rock?
Marta_Voda [28]

Answer:

Explanation:

One of the first scenario is that the rock might not contain minerals that would result in the formation of foliations and lineations in the rock.

The bulk of a rock fabric depends on mineral orientations and their unique properties. This is why platy minerals play very important roles in defining the fabric of a rock.

Another scenario is that, the rock might have exceeded the extreme of metamorphism where melting is approached. All fabrics will eventually fan out and be destroyed.

The graph below shows the temperature of ocean water at different depths.
Zanzabum

The correct answer is - 100 m and 2000 m.

The thermocline represents an abrupt, sudden, rapid, drop of temperature in a body of water. In the big bodies of water, like the oceans, the thermocline is the separation line between the upper layers of the water that are warmer and more wild, and the lower layers of the water that are colder and much more calmer. In this case, the thermocline appears between 100 meters and 200 meters, and we know that because it is between these two depths were we have the biggest difference in temperature drop, which in the given situation is 13 degrees.
