The physical process have very large impact on the atmosphere and its composition. There are several ways in which the physical process influence the atmosphere, both directly and indirectly.
Through this processes we have the formation of volcanoes. The volcanoes are a major source of gasses, as they release enormous amounts of certain gases into the atmosphere, such as carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide, but also lot of particles and ashes.
The formation of the mountain ranges has an indirect influence, as they are detrimental about the climate of a place, and depending on the climate there can be more or less plants. The more plants there is, the more oxygen will be present in the atmosphere, the less plants there is the less oxygen there will in the atmosphere.
The physical process are changing the surface of our planet, and they manage to remove the top layers, push up some deeper layers. This can lead to the releasing of gases that have been trapped inside the crust, like methane for example, and once it is free, it will end up in the atmosphere.
These are only few examples of the influence of the physical processes on the atmosphere, and they can all individually have a certain effect, but when combined, they have enormous effect.
