The triangular trade, diversity and the slave code are factors that have had an impact on the way racial relationships are understood in America. All of these show the struggles that African Americans have faced in order to be considered equal in our country. A sentence that could include all of these could be:

"The triangular trade and the slave code were ways in which African Americans were discriminated against, but they do not longer play a role in our politics because we recognize the value of diversity and the importance of human rights."
