Answer: 1. Justinian himself planted the seeds for the Byzantine Empire's decline. First, his constant wars and the rebuilding of Constantinople after the Nika Riot caused serious financial problems for the empire. The reconstruction of the Hagia Sophia alone cost about 320,000 pounds of gold

2. Invading forces contribute to the fall of the Byzantine empire by weakening the empire.

3. The Macedonian Dynasty saw the Byzantine Renaissance, a time of increased interest in classical scholarship and the assimilation of classical motifs into Christian artwork.

4. The Nicaean Empire eventually recovered Constantinople and restored the Byzantine Empire in 1261. The Fourth Crusade is considered to have solidified the East-West Schism. The crusade dealt an irrevocable blow to the Byzantine Empire, contributing to its decline.

5. Trade with the Venetians contributed to the fall of the Byzantine Empire in ways both direct and indirect. Because Venice was able to negotiate such favorable terms in their trade contracts with Constantinople, there arose bitter anti-Venice sentiment in the Eastern Empire.

Answer:

In the image you can see a city with thousands of Turkish soldiers. The soldiers are armed with weapons like shields, crossbows, and swords. Some soldiers are using ladders to get over the walls and enter Constantinople. There are many other soldiers waiting back on boats to support those who are attacking.

Justinian's constant wars and the rebuilding of Constantinople contributed to the fall of the Byzantine empire. Invading forces contributed to the fall of the Byzantine Empire because they gradually caused damage. The Macedonian had a good impact that strengthened the army, improved the economy, and more in Byzantine.

The Crusaders contributed to the fall of the Byzantine empire because they killed the Byzantines emperor. This was a deal made by his nephew. When the rest of the empire found out what he did they killed him. This meant the Crusaders did not get paid and destroyed Constantinople. Trade with The Venetians contributed to the fall of the Byzantine empire because the Venetians were very skilled at trade and this allowed Venice to grow and become a very wealthy and powerful city during this time period. With this power Venice offered protection to the Byzantine empire. This caused the Byzantine empire to depend on the venetians causing the empire to become unable to defend itself.
