Una expresión de lucha contra el racismo en la actualidad es la destrucción de estatuas en EEUU y países europeos de personajes

de la época colonial que explotaron, esclavizaron y saquearon a los pueblos indígenas y los negros de América y de África.¿ crees que no deberían existir estatuas de los colonizadores en Bolivia? ¿Porque?

Si bien los colonizadores cometieron atrocidades frente a los indígenas que habitaban, no sólo Bolivia, sino el resto de América, los colonizadores siguen siendo parte de la historia, tanto de Bolivia, como del resto de América Latina y de América anglosajona.

Bolivia es una nación con una gran población indígena, no obstante, una de las lenguas oficiales del país es el Español, el catolicismo es la religión mayoritaria, y en general, muchas de las costumbres del país son herederas de costumbres españolas que trajeron los colonizadores.

Por ende, los colonizadores, con sus errores y aciertos, son también parte de la nación boliviana, y sus estatuas deben ser respetadas.

At the turn of the 20th Century, the United States was on the rise.

Spain was the last remaining European power in the Western Hemisphere and the US was eager to prove it was top dog.

So, it went to war to kick Spain out of the Western Hemisphere.

It was very much looking for an excuse to fight Spain.

They were able to pay Women and children less money for their work and during the industrial revolution there was much factory work and jobs that men didn't want to do that needed to get done. Unmarried women were able to live next to a factory in a 'dormitory' type situation so they could work more.
