In the movies, it is clear what were the important topics of the society at that time, what were the beauty standards, what their views of the world were, etc. </u>

<u>Additionally, the cinematic industry can tell us more about politics as cinema was often used as a means of propaganda since its invention. Various mainstream movies were made to convey the specific messages, and by watching certain movies we can see what were the political thoughts of the time. </u>Hollywood cinema, for example, was in service of American politics, and if we watch a movie made at the turn of the century in Hollywood, we could analyze it and see what were political questions at the time and what was the mainstream thought of the society.
