In 1944, the Supreme Court upheld the authority of the U.S. government to order the internment of a minority group in the intere

st of national security, even though there was no evidence that any members of this group were disloyal to the United States. Should the same policy be applied today against U.S.Muslims or Muslim immigrants?

Answer:

Based on the constitution of the United States, I do not agree that the same policy that was applied in keeping the minority group (Japanese) in internment be applied today to the United States Muslims because it would be a violation of the Fourth Amendment. The Japanese were searched without valid warrants, and interned without justifiable reasons. Doing the same thing today would be a great injustice.
