The sentence with the correct subject-verb agreement is D. The staff get pizza and then eat together in the break room.

In this case the word staff is considered a plural because ever individual element is doing the same activity in the same place "together" but they are not actually performing the activity as an unit. They are side by side eating.

The other options are not correct because they don't follow teh subject verb agreement.

Answer:

D. The staff get pizza and then eat together in the break room.

Explanation:

Subject-verb agreement deals with a singular subject having a singular verb and a plural subject having a plural verb.

In the answer: The staff get pizza and then eat together in the break room.

The staff all get pizza together which makes them able to eat it together in the break room.

The Staff is plural and it should be followed by a plural verb which is ‘eat’ . This makes it correct

Note: eats, drinks etc are singular verbs.
