-I usually close all my electronics except my computer, so that I can use it for research purposes
-Drink a glass of fresh cold water
- have a snack nearby
- De stress
-Get things out of the way, like if you have to do chores, do those first so you dont have anything to worry about
-Get a good pen. This is sososo important to me. If i write good, I can understand what i'm writing and its just really really recommended to get a good pen/pencil (:
-Take breaks. Every 30 minutes studying, you get a 5-7 minute study break.
-Study at the same time everyday. Your mind will get used to it and will actually be enjoyable in the future!
-Set goals. Dont try to cram everything in one day!
Good luck

Sure!

First off, Don't study if your tired/sleepy, it makes things worst. Before studying, always take a good small nap.

Second, don't dose off into space, instead of working time will pass faster then you think. so always stay concentrated.

Third, take your time! If you rush to get the studying over with, so you go out or text your friend, might as well not even study, because your going to fail.

Last but not least, Take breaks in between your studying, Don't get it all in 1 hour and think your good to go.

Hope I helped!

And good luck on the studying! :)

How long will it take for 475 mg of a sample of radium-225, which has a half-life of about 15 days, to decay to 30 mg
zlopas [31]

Answer:

60 days

Explanation:

Half-life is the amount of time it takes half of a substance to decay away.

Guess and Check

One method for solving half-life problems like this is to guess and check. To do this, we can continue to divide 475mg by 2 until we get to 30mg.

 • 475 ÷ 2 = 237.5
 • 237.5 ÷ 2 = 118.75
 • 118.75 ÷ 2 = 59.375
 • 59.375 ÷ 2 = 29.6875

As seen here, it takes approximately 4 half-lives for this sample of Ra-225 to decay to 30mg. Now, we can multiply 4 by the length of the half-life, 15 days.

 • 4 * 15 = 60 days.

Fractions

Another way to solve this is to use fractions.

 • 30 is about 1/16 of 475
 • 16 is equivalent to 2^{4}.

This means that it takes 4 half-lives for 475mg to decay to 30mg. Using the same method above, we can tell that 4 half-lives are 60 days.

Important Note

In this question, I rounded occasionally. So, not all of the values are exact, but they are all very close.

On a straight horizontal track along which blocks can slide with negligible friction, block 1 slides toward block 2, which is in
kiruha [24]

The additional measurements which must be made to determine the momentum of block 2 after the collision is both the mass and the post-collision speed of block 1

What is momentum?

Momentum can be defined as a scalar quantity that involves the multiplication of the mass of an object by its velocity.

In Physics, the momentum of an object such as a block, is calculated by using this formula;

Momentum = mass × velocity

In conclusion, we can deduce that the additional measurements which must be made to determine the momentum of block 2 after the collision is both the mass and the post-collision speed of block 1.
