Read the excerpt below and answer the question.
frez [133]
A framed narrative happens when the author uses a story and its characters to tell you another story (a story within a story... a storynception). Here, we can observe a character doing a grand opening, and he starts to introduce a character when he says "I want to tell you of a marquis, whose actions, even though things turned out well for him in the end, were remarkable not so much for their munificence as for their senseless brutality."

Therefore, you best answer is option B.

Why did Daisy marry Tom? Question 10 options:
mariarad [96]

Answer:

3. She was eager to move on with her life, and did not want to wait for Gatsby.

Explanation:

F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel "The Great Gatsby" tells the story of Jay Gatsby and his return to try to get his lost American dream- money and Daisy. Narrated by the protagonist's neighbor and daisy's cousin Nick Carraway, the story revolves around the lives of the wealthy in East Egg and the not-so-wealthy of west Egg.

Daisy Fay nee Buchanan was previously in love wit Jay Gatsby while he was in the army. With him gone overseas, she could not wait, "She wanted her life shaped now, immediately— and the decision must be made by some force—of love, of money, of unquestionable practicality"(Chapter 8). So, when Tom Buchanan came, she immediately moved on, knowing he had the means to support her lifestyle. When Jordan Baker told Nick about Jay and Daisy (Chapter 4), she mentions that she had received a letter from Jay, most probably asking her to rethink her decision to marry Tom. She had even got a 350,000 dollars pearl necklace, but she wasn't convinced. Later on, after she had freshened up and relaxed, she married Tom, as if nothing had happened at all.
