4 2/3 is equal to 4 8/12. 3 and 1/4 is equal to 3 3/12. 4 8/12- 3 3/12 = 1 5/12. 1 1/2 would be a better estimate.

The estimate is not reasonable because

4 2/3 is equivalent to 4 8 /12 ,

and 3 1/4 is equivalent to 3 3/12,

4 \frac{8}{12}  -  3  \frac{3}{12}   = 1 \ \frac{5}{12}

  1. so , 2 1/12 wasn't a good estimate
  2. and , 2 1/12 isn't a great estimate because 6/12 is equivalent to 1/2 and 1 /12 is way less than 6/12

Add the sum and difference identities for sin x to derive 1/2 [sin(x+y)+sin(x-y)]=sin x cos y
Solnce55 [7]

Answer:

true

Step-by-step explanation:

1/2 (sin(x+y)+sin(x-y))

= 1/2 (sin x cos Y + cos x sin y + sin x cos y - cos x sin y)

= 1/2 * 2 sin x cos y

= sin x cos y

The expression is true.

tensa zangetsu [6.8K]

Answer:

The best estimate for the squirrel population is <u>3,528</u>.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

To determine the squirrel population scientists tagged 42 squirrels later they counted 1,092 squirrels of which 13 had tags to the nearest whole number.

Now, to find the best estimate for the squirrel population.

Let the total population of squirrels be x.

As, given 1,092 squirrels of which 13 had tags to the nearest whole number.

So, 13 is equivalent to 1092.

Thus, 42 is equivalent to x.

Now, to solve by using cross multiplication method:

\frac{13}{1092} =\frac{42}{x}

<em>By cross multiplying we get:</em>

13x=45864

<em>Dividing both sides by 13 we get:</em>

x=3528.

The total population of squirrels is 3528.

Therefore, the best estimate for the squirrel population is 3,528.
