Answer: True

Explanation:

Crossing over is the swapping of genetic material during meiosis, which is the process by which egg and sperm (gametes) are created. During prophase of this type of cell division, paired chromosomes from each parent align so they are able to exchange segments between nonsister chromatids in meiosis. This process creates new combinations of genes in the gametes that is going to be created and those genes are not found in either parent, contributing to genetic diversity.

Also, during anaphase of meiosis, the pairs of homologous chromosome are separated to form gametes (which are haploid cells), and this separation is random. This means, of the two chromosomes that already have genetic diversity due to crossing over, each one is going to end up in a new cell randomly. And any of this new gametes with all of these genetic diveristy, will be used during fertilization to create a new organism.

Identify the position on the graph that gives the carrying capacity of the population.
Darina [25.2K]

The carrying capacity of any individual biological species is the maximum size of the population which can sustain indefinitely in that environment provided the necessary requirements like food, water and other environmental conditions are available.

The carrying capacity in the graph is the point on the graph where the line of population is horizontal. The graph has the population in y-axis and time period on x-axis. Alternatively if in the carrying capacity graph the line becomes parallel to x axis then it gives the carrying capacity. Here, at the point 2000 on y-axis and starting from 15 months in x-axis is the point of carrying capacity is marked with red horizontal line and green border in the image attached.

lbvjy [14]
Half life is the amount of time for one half of an isotope decay. Strontium-90 under goes a beta decay, which means that it will lose an electron forcing a neutron to turn into a proton. This decay process on Strontium-90 makes it have a half life of 28.8 days.

Rag the pink labels to the pink targets, indicating the relative concentration of glucose inside and outside the cell. drag the
Svetllana [295]
Attached is the exercise. I found the full scheme on the internet.

For the position "a" the correct label is the pink label with glucose concentration low. This type of cotransportation transports two solutes in the same direction, being one in favour of its gradient, and another one against its gradient. In this case the one that's in favour of its gradient is the Na+, so the glucose is in low concentration outside the cell.
For the position "b" the correct label is the one with the glucose and Na+ entering the cell. This is cotransport, done by the glucose-sodium cotransporter.
For the position "c" the correct label is the pink label with glucose concentration high. This type of cotransportation transports two solutes in the same direction, being one in favour of its gradient, and another one against its gradient. In this case the one that's in favour of its gradient is the Na+, so the glucose is in high concentration inside the cell.
For sentence "1." the correct term is "down". Because the Na+ concentration is higher on the outside of the cell, the Na+ moves down its electrochemical gradient.
For sentence "2." the correct term is "against" for the reasons explained above.

Keystone species are species that play a critical role in balancing an ecosystem. A classic keystone species is the gray wolf, w
fenix001 [56]

Answer:

The population of herbivores would likely increase.

Explanation:

The keystone species - Gray Wolf - are especially useful because they essentially regulate the population of herbivores - like deer - they are a good predator to have to maintain a healthy ecosystem. Without them, the herbivore population would likely continue to grow and this would mean that greenery and the food that the deer eat ( as well as other animals ) would slowly be pushed to lower numbers. This would likely have an effect on the landscape in the area too.
