The action that completes the diagram is:

British ignore colonist grievances.

Following the British Constitution, Britain was not allowed to taxate its subordinate colonies without the approval of their representatives in Parliament. But the problem was that these colonies in America were no represented and still had to pay for taxes imposed on them. Soon they clung to the motto "no taxation without representation". This eventually increased tensions between the two and led to the American Revolutionary War (colonies vs Britain), which resulted in the Declaration of Independence.

Why did the United States government place price controls on petroleum companies in the early 1970s?\
Irina-Kira [14]
They placed a price control on petroleum companies because the oil crisis was getting out of hand. There was an embargo on countries that produced oil and on oil trading and prices were skyrocketing, going up from 3$ per barrel to a 12$ per barrel, and even more in many countries. Without the price regulations the prices could go even higher and the oil industry could collapse because people wouldn't buy oil.
