Answer:

median=2.5

mean=3

Step-by-step explanation:

1) to find median we have to order all number from least to greatest and cut them off one by one until we meet one or two final number(s) in the middle.

I did that and I got 2.5

I was left with the two numbers, 2 and 3.

I had to add 2 and 3, and divide their sum by 2

so

2+3=5

5/2=2.5

2.5 is the median

for mean, you have to add all the numbers and divide by the number of numbers(mean is average)

so

2+3+6+1.5+4.5+1=18

18/6=3

mean=3

hope this helps

At a company meeting, there were 996 people in attendance. 25% of them were managers. How many managers were in the meeting?
nalin [4]

They are asking for managers so 996 of them are there, 25% are managers

Change the percent to a decimal (divide the percent number by 100)

You get 0.25

So multiply 996 by 0.25

You get 249

So there are <u>249 managers at the meeting</u>

4/3(6y+21)-17&gt;43 help pls
dezoksy [38]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

4/3(6y+21)-17=43

move all terms to the left:

4/3(6y+21)-17-(43)=0

Domain of the equation: 3(6y+21)!=0

y∈R

We add all the numbers together, and all the variables

4/3(6y+21)-60=0

You multiply all the terms by the denominator

-60*3(6y+21)+4=0

How much pure acid is in 440 milliliters of a 19% solution
ArbitrLikvidat [17]

Answer:

83.6 mL

Step-by-step explanation:

Given 440 mL of 19% acid solution. This means the whole volume of this acid solution is 100%. Let x mL be the volume of pure acid in this solution.

Then

440\ mL - 100\%\\ \\x\ mL - 19\%

Write a proportion:

\dfrac{440}{x}=\dfrac{100}{19}

Cross multiply:

100\cdot x=440\cdot 19\\ \\x=\dfrac{440\cdot 19}{100}\\ \\x=\dfrac{8,360}{100}\\ \\x=83.60\ mL

the volume of the prism is 1122 cubic inches. use the formula V = BH to find the h of the prism. B= 93.5in.
Crank
V = Bh  ⇒
h = V/B = 1122 / 93.5 = 12 inches.

Please help me with this geometry question
mixer [17]

Answer:

180+18\sqrt{3}\ in^2.

Step-by-step explanation:

The surface area of right triangular prism is the sum of area of two base triangles and 3 area of side rectangles.

The area of base triangle is

A_{base}=\dfrac{a^2\sqrt{3}}{4},

where a is the length of the side of equilateral triangle. In your case, a=6 inches. Thus,

A_{base}=\dfrac{6^2\cdot\sqrt{3}}{4}=9\sqrt{3}\ in^2.

The area of side rectangle is

A_{side}=ah,

where h is the height of the rectangle. In your case, h=10 inches. Thus,

A_{side}=6\cdot 10=60\ in^2.

Hence, the surface area is

SA=2\cdot 9\sqrt{3}+3\cdot 60=180+18\sqrt{3}\ in^2.
