Answer: presence of hyphae in fungi , a long filamentous structure but plants lack hyphae.

Explanation:

Plants and fungi are both Eukaryotic but they are different from each other.

Plants are autotrophic i.e they can produce their own food by themselves through the process of photosynthesis but fungi are heterotrophs, they cannot synthesis their food on their own.

Plants cell walls are made up of cellulose and fungi cell walls are made up of chitin.

Fungi have hyphae, a filamentous structure but plants don't have.

Why is algae classified in the Protist Kingdom and not the Plant Kingdom even though they are photosynthetic? Research why some
KengaRu [80]
Algae are photosynthetic, but they are also unicellular organisms (Euglena) and shares some of the common features with plants as well as animals. They move like animals and perform photosynthesis like plants. Therefore, they are classified into Protists, and not the Algae. Their most features resemble the non-photosynthetic protozoa, and not plants, and therefore, are put into the Protista.
They also lack a cell wall, which is a feature of plants.
Some scientists advocate their classification in plants because of their sexual mode of reproductiona, and formation of spores.

How can volcanoes and rivers be both constructive and destructive forces
Gala2k [10]

Answer:

Volcanoes can be constructive if they happen in the ocean, as they can form islands and therefore be new places for plants and animals to grow and thrive.

Volcanoes can be destructive if they kill a large amount of animals by forming on land.

Hope this helps :)

In mitosis the spindle fibers connect to what
IrinaK [193]

Answer:

During mitosis, the spindle fibers are called the mitotic spindle. ... Long protein fibers called microtubules extend from the centrioles in all possible directions, forming what is called a spindle. Some of the microtubules attach the poles to the chromosomes by connecting to protein complexes called kinetochores.

Spindle fibers move chromosomes during cell division by attaching to chromosome arms and centromeres. A centromere is the specific region of a chromosome where duplicates are linked. Identical, joined copies of a single chromosome are known as sister chromatids
