How do our surroundings affect the way we live and view the world?
EastWind [94]

The answer for this question is actually quite varied. Our surroundings affect us very greatly. For example: If we are born in West Virginia we will have the accent that will identify us from other U.S citizens and we will also have certain habits that are unusual to someone who lives in the spark of Miami. Also, how we are raised has an immense impact in our lives. Nowadays, it is seen well to smoke marihuana, take drugs to relieve stress and get drunk. Such things are normal. But, looking back one century ago, the person who did those things was unwanted, a rebel, and therefore banned from society. No one would associate with such people because they were of bad influence. However, today hanging out with such people is considered the norm because norms and values have changed through the time.

Also, views have changed. Not long ago people believed in God, that he was the creator of all things. But, now in schools teachers are teaching the theory of evolution. A theory that carries no facts or scientific explanations whatsoever, its only based on thoughts and theories that have never been proved. Firstly, the theory is based on that out of inanimate matter came out life, but, the principle of life is that everything came out of something pre-existent; so how did we come to be? Truly, we human beings were not formed out of pure casualty, out of nothing, something alive must have created us. The magazine "The origin of life: Five questions worth asking" states: "All scientific evidence to date indicates that life can come only by pre-existing life." How we are raised hun, the people we interact with, the things people teach us mold our minds. But, its takes us to discover the truth of things of who we are and what we want.

Which question best represents the theme Woolf analyzes in A Room of One's Own? A. Why couldn't women vote and get involved poli
CaHeK987 [17]
The correct answer is B. Why are women important characters in literature but unimportant in history?
Woolf is famous for her early feminist prose where she wrote about how women are underappreciated, which they definitely were at the time. She wondered how it was possible that all famous writers and poets wrote so much about women, and their importance, but when it came to actual, real life, they were often ignored and subjugated.

What actions can the community take to make the municipality aware about their dissatisfaction regarding service delivery
lana66690 [7]

Answer:

The community can make protests, marches, strikes and public announcements.

Explanation:

When a community is dissatisfied with the provision of a particular service, this community must be heard, so that the authorities are aware of the dissatisfaction and can resolve the problems that cause it. In this case, the community must begin to publicize its dissatisfaction by making a public announcement, which aims to be heard by the city hall, so that the problem can be resolved. If this announcement is not met, the community can promote more serious actions such as strikes, protests and marches, which must be carried out in a passive way, but must highlight the dissatisfaction that is affecting the community.

Read the following lines from "Telephone Conversation." "... - One moment madam!" - sensing Her receiver rearing on the thunderc
Anit [1.1K]

She is about to disconnet by hanging upon him. The whole poem is about an African person and the landlady who simply inquires how dark the person is, at the end she seems impatient and is simply about hang upon him -- rearing...about my ears. She couldn't be near him to strike him, if she was to scold the speaker there would be silence, the same idea applies if she turned the receiver away.
