Bao saved 179 dollars a month
Ada saved 145 dollars more than Bao a month
Let B = Bao
let A = Ada
=> B = 179 dollars
=> A = b + 145 dollars or 179 + 145
Now, find the total amount will ada save in 3 years and half
=> 3 years and half = (12 x 3) + 6 = 42 months
=> A = 179 + 145 x 42
=> a = 324 x 42
=> A = 13 608 dollars in 3 years and half.

Ada would has saved $13,608 in three and a half years

<h3 /><h3>Further explanation</h3>

Bao saved = $179/month

Ada saved = Bao saved + $145

                  = $179+ $145

                  = $324

So, Ada saved is $324 each month.

To find out how much Ada would has saved in three years and a half:

first we will change 3¹/₂ years into months

3¹/₂ x 12 months = 42 months

So in 42 months, Ada saved would be:

= save/month x the number of months

= $324 x 42 month

= $13,608

Here is how to calculate the big number multiplication. We are using the area model:

= \boxed {324 \times42\ }\\ =\boxed {(300+20+4) \times(40+2)\ }\\ =\boxed {(300 \times40)+(300 \times2)+(20 \times40)+(20 \times2)+(4 \times40)+(4 \times2) }\\ =\boxed {12000+600+800+40+160+8\ }\\ =\boxed {13608\ }

So, Ada would has saved $13,608 in three and a half years.

Answer:

4 bags

Step-by-step explanation:

The way to read a step and leaf diagram is to consider the "stem" as the tens digit and "leaf" ans the ones digit.

So "0" in stem and "5" in leaf would be the number "05" or simply "5"

Also, "2" in stem and "4" in leaf would be the number "24"

When we have more numbers in leaf, they are basically different numbers. So lets list the numbers from stem-and-leaf plot:

5, 24, 30, 34, 65, 70, 74, 87, 90

The question asks for how many numbers are there LESS THAN 40?

the numbers less than 40 are:

5, 24, 30, 34

That is 4 numbers

What is the volume of a right cone having a base diameter of 10 cm and a height of 9 cm?
lions [1.4K]

Answer:

volume  =  (1/3)(area of base)(height)

area of base  =  pi * radius2  =  pi * (10/2)2  =  pi * 52  =  25pi   cm2

volume  =  (1/3)( 25pi )( 9 )   cm3

volume  =  75pi   cm3

volume  ≈  236  cm3
