Let's go through them one at a time. You wouldn't pick Sentence One. It is part of the setting and it suggests a subdued response to what's around him. But for all we know, Fitzgerald could be leading us somewhere else. This setting is a suggestion, it is not an exact answer to his mood. If we take him seriously we'll keep the suggestion in mind, but there are better answers that reflect what he is thinking.

Sentence Two Sentence Two can't be any plainer. We don't know what it is that he has lost. Whatever it was, there is something final and deep about it. If someone fades right before your eyes and that someone is your mate, it is devastating. It's a real downer.

Sentence Three What else can you say? The loss of a dream is every bit as bad as the loss of a person. (Well maybe not quite, but it is close).

Sentence Four It sure has. He doesn't feel right. Whatever was taken doesn't make him feel good.

Sentence Five He confirms what I've said in sentence four with this sentence. Whatever he's thinking, his physical response shows that he's near tears. The only reason you wouldn't choose it is that the sentence is like one. You have to pay attention, but we see the outside of him. Not the inside.

Same with six. Six is an expansion of exactly what she gives him. And it's pretty physical. But his melancholia is responded to in other places. It confirms the things that he sees that makes him nuts about her, but there is a real sadness in those lines. These memories are quite poetic and if you were writing an essay, you could really do something with them.

I think I would chose 2,3 and 4, but if someone put six as an answer, I could sure buy into that.

How does decision making and consequences effect your character? is it positive or negative or both
rodikova [14]

Answer: positive

The bigger the decision, the more life-changing the chain of events will be for the decision-maker and others around them. The impact can be positive or negative, but there is always a consequence. If you are in an abusive or disrespectful relationship, making a clear choice to leave will have lasting consequences.

miv72 [106K]

My family has many unspoken laws, things you should kind of just know. Being honest is one example but there are many others to follow. Be kind, means to share and love everyone no matter what. Judgement should be kept at its lowest. Understanding of what the other persons situation is.

Jamey is in the third grade, her bestfriend bella is in the fourth grade. Jamey is upset with bella because she has so much homework. Bella tries really hard to explain to jamey that she cant come over. Jamey is not being very understanding of bellas situation.

The sentence from below that best indicated what was dissatifying for elizabeth and james in their former life in the east
xenn [34]

Hello. You did not present the answer options, nor the text to which this question refers. This makes it impossible for your question to be answered accurately. However, I will try to help you in the best possible way.

To find the phrase that shows how much life and Elizabeth and James were unpleasant while they lived in the east, you will need to find the phrase that shows something negative that Elizaneth and James had to face while they were in the east. Furthermore, this phrase may show that nothing could free James and Elizabeth from this negative element, except a move to another region. This negative element can be presented by a narrator, or by James, or by Elizabeth. The important thing is that the phrase is able to show how much they were harmed by living in this region.
