Imo The effect would be of fear but some type of tension, power and demand. Because Holmes has Dr Grimesby Roylott calling out who he is and how he is. Therefore by Dr Grimesby screaming, you can tell the effect he had from Holmes by just the things Dr Grimesby was responding back to Holmes with, how frightened, Threaten, and shock, Dr Grimesby was.
