What are two modes of genetic variation of organisms

Biology

The genetic variation of organisms has three sources they are mutation, gene flow and sexual reproduction.

Explanation:

Genetic variation are caused by mutation , random mating, random fertilization and recombination between homologous chromosomes during meiosis.

It is a variation in alleles and genes, among the populations. There is a genetic variation within the family of closely- related individuals. If it is a neighborhood there are many families and there is also genetic variation among that group.

An exact genetic copy of the parent organism is produced in asexual reproduction. It only introduces the genetic variation into the population if a random mutation in the organism's DNA is passed on to the offspring.

Horses and donkeys can breed and produce offspring known as mules. yet horses and donkeys remain separate species. this is becau
Sergeu [11.5K]

The answer is D. This ensures that the mule cannot have offsprings hence can't continue its generation. Sterility of the mule is due to mismatch of homologous chromosomes between the horse and the donkey leaving an extra lone horse chromosome on the mule (since a horse has 64 chromosomes and a donkey has 62).

A child with a suspected airway obstruction is brought to the emergency room. he produces a harsh, strident sound on inspiration
Arisa [49]

The following are indications that will suggest that there is a presence of airway obstruction;

·         Low ph

·         Increased PCO2

·         Decrease PO2

It is because when a child does not have the capability of evacuating the accumulated CO2 due to ab obstruction, there will likely be a result of the PCO2 to rise in the arterial blood as well as its carbonic acid concentration. In the same time, there will be a presence of low ph because of acidosis that occurs because of the low PCO2 and concentration of carbonic acid being too low. That will likely lead of the PO2 to decrease.
