More people died because FDA inspections reduced access to food, leading people to consume spoiled food. Many quality medications were no longer produced because they did not meet FDA requirements. Food producers sometimes went out of business or had to spend money to meet new FDA requirements. Most markets were permanently closed because they created unsafe food conditions, limiting access to food.

That it led to more free time and that it sparked their creativity to invent stuff, such as fire or the wheel. Domesticating animals led them to a whole new civilization, it gave them surplus amounts of food. That made the civilization thrive with people. Agriculture was a major factor.
