Answer:

The correct answer is the quilt and the jar of fruit.

Explanation:

"Trifles", is a play that was written by Susan Glaspell and it was acted for the first time in 1916. In essence, "Trifles" talks about the enormous differences between men and women, and particularly, the way that each sex sees the other and acts. It narrates the occurrences at the Wright household, where Mr. Wright has been found murdered and his wife is suspected of it. As the county attorney, the sheriff, Mr. Hale, and the wives of Hale and the sheriff, inspect the site, the male band and the female band separate and the first one finds no conclusive evidence on the case, while the women find all they need to know that their colleague, Mrs. Wright, was indeed the murderer. What they also find, are the symbols of what Mrs. Wright´s life turned out to be as a housewife, compared to when she was single, and the two most promiment symbols that show the incarceration of women and the pressure put on them by society as housewives are the quilt and jar of fruit, which represent the expectations that society had of women as housekeepers and homebuilders.

The answer is a quilt and a jar of fruit. These symbols most strengthen the feminist theme.

EXPLANATION

"Trifles" is Susan Glaspell’s play which is a one-act play that was first performed on August 8, 1916. It was the Provincetown Players who played that act for the first time in the Wharf Theatre in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Susan Glaspell also took a role in this play as Mrs. Hale.

Trifles is frequently discussed in American literature textbooks. After Trifles, there was also another short play. It was some sort of sequel to Trifles, titled A Jury of Her Peers. The play was also written by Susan Glaspell, with the same plotline and also the same characters.

Trifles is often referred to as a feminist play. The plot of the play is including two women who protect another woman’s crime. This happens because the two women can sympathize with the criminal. They understand why the criminal might do the murder, which is because the criminal is being abused by her own husband. The criminal murders her own husband because of it.

Other than the theme of feminism, there is also a theme of justice within the play. The two women already knew that the wife kills her own husband. They choose to hide the evidence and let the woman not found guilty because they fully understand why she chooses to kill her husband.

Answer:

Secondary reinforcers

Explanation:

A secondary reinforcer is a type of stimulus or situation that functions as a reinforcer because it has been paired with another stimulus that also functions as a reinforcer. In this case, the reinforcer is the good grade. In turn, the secondary reinforcers are the praise and the money, both of which seem to be effective with Curtis.
