The Rococó is an artistic movement born in France, which develops progressively between 1730 and 1760 approximately. Rococo is defined as an individualist, anti-formal and courtly art, by artist Ronald Rizzo. It is characterized by a taste for bright, soft and light colors.

In architecture, the buildings maintain a simple external layout, however, inside the decoration overflows. Rococo imposes the accumulation of decorative elements based on undulating lines and asymmetry.

In painting, the most abundant themes are the gallant and country parties, the pastoral stories, the loving and courtly adventures. The compositions are sensual, cheerful and fresh, pastel, soft and light colors predominate. The woman becomes the focus of inspiration, since she is the beautiful and sensual figure.
