Where are hydrophobic interactions most likely to occur?
lutik1710 [3]
Hydrophobic effect is the tendency of non polar molecules (hydrophobic) in a solvent that is polar to interact with each other resulting to a hydrophobic interaction. These non polar molecules are called hydrophobes and are made of long chains of carbon that are water hating (do not interact with water). In this case, the hydrophobic interactions are most likely to occur on the core of a water soluble protein.

In which type of cell does a current drive a nonspontaneous redox reaction?
Dmitriy789 [7]
Electrolytic cell is the type of a cell in which current drive a non-spontaneous redox reaction. Redox reactions are reactions in which the oxidation number of the reactants are changed. To change oxidation number, electrons must either be added to or removed from the reactants. However, to observe the law of conservation of mass, all the electrons removed from one reactant or atom must be added to another one, therefore, the number of species lost by one substance is equal to the number of electrons gained by the other.
