What events caused the unification of Germany? explain what happened
Kryger [21]

The creation of the German Confederation in 1815 was largely in reaction to the growing sense of German nationalism, which had not existed in Europe prior to the 19th century. While strains of nationalism certainly existed before the turn of the century, it was France's conquest of the German lands in the first decade of the 19th century that first fully aroused German nationalists into proposing a unified, German state. Indeed, J.G. Fichte's Addresses to the German Nation, given in Berlin in 1808, called on Germans to unite under their common language and traditions.

Perhaps no other statesman was in such a fine position to make this dream a reality as the Chancellor of Prussia during the mid-19th century, Otto von Bismarck. Bismarck was a fervent German nationalist who wanted a German nation, but specifically one dominated by his Prussia. As a result, once appointed, Chancellor Bismarck set out to strengthen and improve the Prussian army and gain international allies that would help Prussia on its way to unifying Germany.

Select the four influential Germanic kingdoms.
nevsk [136]

Answer:

Frankish

Ostrogothic

Anglo-Saxon

Explanation:

The fall of the Roman Empire rests upon the attacks of Germanic barbarian tribes. Germanic groups such as the Visigoths, Vandals, Ostrogoths, and Franks, took turns destroying the Western Roman Empire. The Germanic Tribes eventually divided Roman holding provinces areas to settle down and formed kingdoms. In 476 C.E., Odoacer became King of Italy and the first barbarian to rule. Various Germanic tribes migrated into other regions. Many Germanic tribes merged, including the Angles with the Saxons in England, Clovis established the Frankish kingdom with established Catholicism in western Europe and Theodoric, Ostrogoths king, established  Ravenna as capital.

Which phenomenon did triangular trade most directly encourage?please
Mrac [35]

The phenomenon that triangular trade most directly encouraged was slavery. The first part of the triangle was the crossing of the Atlantic Ocean by Europeans wishing to sell their products. With the money obtained the europeans would buy slaves; sometimes they would just trade the products they brought directly for slaves. The same european ships would then sail to America to sell the slaves as plantation labourers. With the money obtained the europeans bought raw products like cotton and took them to Europe for further processing. The complete cycle took like a year.

why did the western powers follow a policy of appeasement even though it srrmed to encourage more aggression?
Fofino [41]
The Western powers followed a policy of appeasement despite the fact that it encouraged aggression because these countries were trying to avoid another World War at all costs. Countries like Great Britain and France were heavily involved in World War I and suffered severe infrastructure damage. It took years for these countries to rebuild to their previous state. The last thing they wanted to do was get involved in another war that would ruin their countries infrastructure and result in the loss of thousands of soldiers.
