Answer:

I would feel like i have a lack of freedom and human rights because even if i wanted to make a scientific discovery i would be persecuted. And i would also feel like a religion was being forced on me and that my opinions do not matter. And in order for society to progress and improve, we need science. Scientist will still end up doing expeirments but they will do it in secret and i think that may be worse than just letting everyone know what you have discovered.
