How do slaves get from Africa to America ? What is being traded for them and where do they go first?
Mandarinka [93]

Answer:

After Charles I of Spain signed an edict allowing slave ships to travel directly from Africa to the Americas, human cargo on transatlantic voyages spiked nearly tenfold. In August 1518, King Charles I authorized Spain to ship enslaved people directly from Africa to the Americas. Slave labour was integral to early settlement of the colonies, which needed more people for labour and other work. Also, slave labour produced the major consumer goods that were the basis of world trade during the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries: coffee, cotton, rum, sugar, and tobacco.

DOUBLE - BARRELED

In research, these kind of questions are usually included in error as researchers attempt to formulate synonyms or clarify question and even though done with nobel intentions, it can render data useless because there will be no way or knowing the participant's real state of mind.
