Faye brings up the point that she has often been overwhelmed with how to describe where she is from, as she has lived all over t

he world. She notes that her response varies based on who is asking the question. How would you answer a similar question? Do you identify with multiple cultures or a single culture? Where are you from? Where do you feel you belong? Describe your culture(s) as they define your identity.

Answer:

My response would be unambigous.

I'd stick with describing my native country.

Having explained the foundational elements of my culture, I'd go on to add one or two examples of how, pesonally, my behaviour has been shaped by other cultures. In other words, I'd identify with one culture but explain how other cultures have contributed to shaping my thinking.

Explanation:

For example,

Q: Where are you from?

A: I am from the Eastern Parts of Nigeria called the Igbo. Nigeria is in West Africa and is regarded as the most populous black nation in the world.

Q: Where do you feel you belong?

A: I have strong Igbo roots. However, given my years of travelling, education and experience, my attitudes and thinking have evolved, being shaped by interesting ideas from other climes that are worthy of emulation.

Q: Describe your cultures as they define your identity

A: The Igbo people are very industrious and have a regard for acquiring good education.

It is not uncommon to find an Igbo man who besides his day job also has a business which provides other streams of income.

Igbo people are predominantly very warm and welcoming, and are not afraid to take the lead when the situation calls for it.

On a broader scale, we value communal and family ties.

Cheers!

The answer is B. Aunt Marth has both a kind and cruel personality.

The allusion to Robert Louis Stevenson’s novel Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in this passage means that Aunt Martha has a personality similar to the "bipolarity" of Dr. Jekyll.

*In 1-2 complete sentences: What is something you have liked about reading The Great Gatsby? What is something you don't like or
Serga [27]

Answer:

found this i dont know if it helps. sorry.

Explanation:

That's Gatsby's biggest character flaw. He's a romantic. He thinks by becoming everything Daisy every dreamed about (wealthy and power and affluence) that he can just come in and sweep her off her feet. he's not prepared for the reality of her situation and of her conflicted feelings. He doesn't understand them because he's romanticized her as a heroine, when in fact, she's just a silly girl who has made some rather bad decisions in her life.

oksian1 [2.3K]
The figurative language in Chapter 11 in the book written by Rudyard Kipling "The Jungle Book" has a great impact to the passage as a whole since in this chapter, it was here that the setting was described, as well as the situation of the setting.
