Answer:

a. 0.69

b. 0.13

c.0.56

Step-by-step explanation:

Total number = 100

a) either means students with either option are valid

69/100 = 0.69

b) both means each student has done both math and english

=13/100 = 0.13

c) Only one means has done one subject and not both classes. We have 23 for math and 33 for english (this is according to your venn diagram)

23+33=56

one subject =56/100 = 0.56

1) marbles altogether = 3+4=7
P(black) = 3/7

2) P(first black marble)= 3/7
second black marble - When you removed 1st one only 2 black marbles are left and altogether marbles that are left = 6
P(second black marble) = 2/6=1/3
P(2 black marbles without replacement) means black and black marbles without replacement.
P(2 black marbles without replacement) =
3/7*1/3=1/7

3) P(first black marble)= 3/7
When you put that black marble back, you got again 3 black marbles and 4 red marbles in a bag. So,
P(second black marble)= 3/7
P(2 black marbles with replacement)=3/7*3/7= 9/49

If 1/2 a number is 5 more than 1/7 of that number, what is the number?
Burka [1]

Answer:

14

Step-by-step explanation:

1/2x = 1/7x + 5

1/2x - 1/7x = 5

7/14x - 2/14x = 5

5/14x = 5

x = 5 * 14/5

x = 14

I need 14 and 15 please!
babymother [125]
14. (n-5)*4+7
15. No, this would not be neccesary because if I were to distribute 1/2 to both 4 and 6, I know that I would get half of those numbers which would give me 2x+3. I also know that if I distribute 1/3 to both 9 and 24, I would get 1/3 of each number which would be 3 and 8.
