According to the film, and based on your understanding of natural selection from class readings, lecture, and discussion, people
Evgesh-ka [11]

Answer:

According to the film, and based on my understanding of natural selection from class readings, lecture, and discussion, I believe;

Several teams of scientists round the world have, for a while, been analyzing the opportunity that a genetic mutation perpetuated via the organism responsible for bubonic plague, or the Black Death, inside the Middle Ages - Yersinia pestis - would possibly provide humans now sporting the mutation extended resistance to the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) compared to non-companies. New studies has thrown doubt on the micro-organism that become concept to have precipitated the Black Death, but the link to HIV resistance seems to remain.

In a observe published in the American Journal of Human Genetics (Am J Hum Genet 1998, 62:1507-1515) Stephen O'Brien and colleagues at the US National Cancer Institute, used coalescence principle to interpret current haplotype genealogy. They found that a genetic mutation that gives its providers safety towards the HIV virus became extraordinarily not unusual amongst white Europeans approximately seven-hundred years in the past — the equal length that the Black Death swept into Europe. The group also concluded that the geographic cline of the mutation frequencies and its latest emergence had been regular with a strongly selective historical event (which includes a virulent disease of a pathogen), driving its frequency upwards in populations whose ancestors survived the Black Death.

Read the excerpt from Act II, scene iv of Romeo and Juliet. How does Mercutio offer comic relief in this excerpt?
PIT_PIT [208]

Mercutio offers comic relief in the excerpt from "Romeo and Juliet" by refusing to treat Romeo’s romance seriously, as stated in option C and explained below.

What is comic relief?

Comic relief is a technique commonly used in serious, dramatic stories. It is a comic, funny event, dialogue, or situation whose purpose is to alleviate some of the tension and seriousness of the general story.

The excerpt from Act II, scene iv from "Romeo and Juliet" has Mercutio as the comic relief. His judgmental and teasing words about those well-known female characters come to provoke Romeo. Mercutio does not take Romeo's love seriously, and his joking attitude provides the comic relief the drama needs.

With the information above in mind, we can choose option C as the correct answer for this question.

The complete question with the missing excerpt and answer choices is the following:

Read the excerpt from Act II, scene iv of "Romeo and Juliet."

Benvolio: Here comes Romeo, here comes Romeo.

Mercutio: Without his roe, like a dried herring. O flesh, flesh, how art thou fishified! Now is he for the numbers that Petrarch flowed in: Laura to his lady was but a kitchen-wench; marry, she had a better love to be-rime her; Dido a dowdy; Cleopatra a gipsy; Helen and Hero hildings and harlots; Thisbe, a grey eye or so, but not to the purpose. Signior Romeo, bon jour! There’s a French salutation to your French slop. You gave us the counterfeit fairly last night.

Romeo: Good morrow to you both. What counterfeit did I give you?

Mercutio: The slip, sir, the slip; can you not conceive?

How does Mercutio offer comic relief in this excerpt?

 • By explaining romantic figures from history.
 • By speaking in different languages.
 • By refusing to treat Romeo’s romance seriously.
 • By complaining about his own love interest.

PLZ HELP ASAP!!!! This has to be something I can write a whole essay about!!!!!!
Alik [6]

Answer:

I plan to prove that college athletes should be paid to play. This matters because many people going into college play sports and they give up much of their time to do so. The athletes at a college are almost always the first students to arrive and the last to leave the campus. They arrive early to begin training and stay late because of big games. They should be paid because they give up a lot of their time to be at the practices. Some teams practice during class times which can mess up an athlete's academic schedule, others practice late at night when an athlete would want to be doing their homework or hanging out with friends. They should be paid because each win they have they give the college popularity and even perhaps money.

Counter claim: Athletes do not need to be paid because they got a scholarship to come which helps pay for their schooling already.

Explanation:

This is the best I got, it should give you some idea of how to get into this
