621.67. First of all you want to convert the 16% to a .16 so you can multiply it. From then you can multiply 535.92 times .16 to find the amount of money that was taken off of the original price. The number you get from the previous equation you have to add to 535.92 to final original price.

100%-16%=84%(or 0.84) this tells you that $535.92 is 84% of the original price.
Divide 535.92 by 0.84 to get $638

Find a number that is 96 greater than its opposite
BartSMP [9]

For this problem you'll get a number, find it's opposite and sum 96 to it. The equation used will be:

x = -x + 96

Where:

x = a number

-x = the opposite of x

So:

x = -x + 96

x + x = 96

2x = 96

x = 96 / 2

x = 48

And now, if you do the sum to prove your answer:

48 - 96 = -48

Answer:

\boxed{\bf~48~is~the~number}

Hope it helped,

Find the equation of the axis of symmetry and the coordinates of the vertex of the graph of the function y = 4x2 – 8x – 3.
Schach [20]
Axis of symmerty from form
ax²+bx+c is -b/2a
the axis of symetry is the x value of the vertex so just put the axis of symetry for x an evaluate

4x²-8x-3
-b/2a=-(-8)/(2*4)=8/8=1

input for x
4(1)²-8(1)-3=4-8-3=-7

(1,-7) is vertex

Tire rim has a diameter of 15 in. What is the circumference of the tire rim? Use 3.14 for pi
natima [27]
The meaning of circumference is to find the distance around a circle or in other words the perimeter of the circle. The circumference of a circle can be calculate by using the formula C=2πr or C=πd.
In this exercise is given that diameter of a tire rim is 15 inches, and it is asked to find its circumference using 3.14 as the value of pi. In this problem the diameter of the circle is given, so in this case the formula C=πd would be used, where d represents the diameter.

C= \pi d
C=(3.14)(15 in)
C=47.1 in

The circumference of the tire rim is 47.1 inches.
