we know that

the volume of the oblique pyramid with a square base is equal to

V=\frac{1}{3}Bh

where

B is the area of the base

h is the height of the pyramid

In this problem

The area of the base is

B=EF^{2}\ units^{2}

h=AB\ units

The two formulas to calculate h are

Applying the Pythagoras Theorem

h^{2}=AC^{2}-CB^{2} ------> h=\sqrt{AC^{2}-CB^{2}}

h^{2}=AD^{2}-DB^{2} ------> h=\sqrt{AD^{2}-DB^{2}}

therefore

the answer is

AB and EF

AC, CB and EF

AD, DB and EF

Mount McKinley is Alaska is 5910 feet higher
skelet666 [1.2K]

Answer:

20,320 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

Let Mt Rainer be X.

Let Mt KcKinley be X+5,910.

So,   X + (X + 5,910) = 34,730

Combine the variables and,   2X + 5,910 = 34,730

Subtract 5,910 from both sides and,    2X = 28,820

Divide both sides by 2 and,   X = 14,410

So, Mt Rainer is 14,410 and Mt McKinley is (14,410 + 5,910) = 20,320
