According to Churchill, the continuation of British life as it is currently known is at stake in the battle against Germany. The lengthy traditions of Great Britain are a stake.

The continuation of British life as it is currently known.

Further Explanation:

Churchill was particularly worried that the forces of Communism and fascism would destroy the democratic institutions and take over the world. He was a prolific British statesman who spearheaded the British war effort during the Second half of the second world war, taking over the former minister Clement Attlee. He had seen significant events during the First World War and was convinced that Germany was aiming to oust Britain from her position of being an economic and naval power. Churchill was an extraordinary political statesman and a military strategist who believed in the supremacy of Britain’s democratic and sovereign traditions and believed that Nazi Germany posed a severe threat to these time-honored conventions and institutions of Britain.

Churchill had predicted the rise of Hitler and Germany’s aggression even before the World War commenced. Thus, Britain and her allies needed to join their forces and efforts together to combat these evil forces of fascism, so that British interests and that of her allies would remain unharmed. Churchill was an extraordinary political statesman and a military strategist who believed in the supremacy of the British in all aspects of life and was particularly careful to safeguard British colonial interests. Germany’s constant colonial expansion alarmed British politicians, and Winston Churchill was always suspicious of German motives, even if they would extend a hand of co-operation. He severely criticized Chamberlain’s appeasement and was convinced that it would be a failure to maintain world peace and contain Germany’s ambitions to power.

Elden [556K]
Engineers will often use reverse-engineering to solve problems. For example, by taking things apart to determine an issue, finding a solution and then putting the object back together again. Engineers know how things work, and so they constantly analyse things and discover how they work.
