Which statement was not a criticism of television media in the 1960s? Television promoted stereotypes. Television encouraged con
Gekata [30.6K]

Answer:

the last one.

Explanation:

In my mind, the answer is the last one.

Stereotypical characters was a nightmare. It encouraged the wrong type of behavior. It presented the Fonz as a standard of behavior for both girls and boys which was unrealistic.

Commercialism is a criticism. It means that we are in competition with our neighbors to see who has the largest yacht. That's not a very good competition.

Nobody lived like the Fonz.

Though it might not be a virtue now, it certainly is not a bad thing to portray. The answer should be the last one.

What group of people is swift likely referring to by the name "big-endians" in
Gala2k [10]

The group of people is swift likely referred to by the name "big-endian" in this passage, c. blefuscudians. Thus, option "C" is correct.

In the story from gulliver's travels of how the dispute arose between the big-endians and the little-endians, the chief objects of swift's satire are?

In Jonathan Swift's "Gulliver's Travels", the protagonist Lemuel Gulliver is the source of Swift's satirical and even outbursts for criticizing the political situation of England. He also uses numerous characters to satirize the English government and society as a whole.

In Chapter 4, Reldresal had narrated to Gulliver how the two nations of Lilliput and Blefuscu first came against each other.

The issue is the mere order of the then king to break their eggs from the small end, leading to the division among the people into Big-endians and Little-endians. This led to massive uproar, where "one emperor lost his life, and another his crown". Moreover, "eleven thousand persons have at several times suffered death, rather than submit to break their eggs at the smaller end". This trivial issue which led to such massive conflict is a satire upon the trivial and petty nature of English people to easily get into conflicts.

Thus, option "C" is correct.

Crank

Answer:

B. He believes that they are not intelligent.

Explanation:

According to a different source, these are the options that are included in this question:

A. He believes that they are too serious.

B. He believes that they are not intelligent.

C. He believes that they are highly educated.

D. He believes that they are extremely humorous.

In this passage, we learn that the Duke does not believe people in this part of Arkansas would attend the theatre to see a play by Shakespeare. He thinks this is too refined for them. He argues that they would only attend plays that are simple, low comedies, or something even less complex. Based on these words, we can conclude that the duke believes people in this part of Arkansas are not intelligent.
