European imperialism brought many things. Positive being, civilizing the people of the conquering. A mixture of cultures can be viewed extensively in both such as México which mixes indigenous rituals along with Spanish traditions. It also brought economic and technological expansion to the colonies. On the downside, it brought disease to the new colonies and killed many of the indigenous peoples.
